New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC)
ART-in-ARchitecture
In 2014, ARTTFORM embarked on a four-year project with SkyCity to commission the major exterior artworks for their new convention centre. The art is woven into the architecture of the building and will span a total 5760sq m once fully installed, illuminated by lights.
"It has taken years of work to get to this point. Once complete, the art-in-architecture will become a destination for people across the world," says ARTTFORM Director Paul Baragwanath.
The building is set to open in early 2025.

105 metres long and 32 metres high, Peata Larkin’s terracotta tile wall will wrap around the northern edge of the NZICC. The wall when fully installed will have approximately 13,500 terracotta tiles in eight different colours, designed to soften and add movement and life to what would have been a straight plain wall.
